NASA Announces Two Giant Asteroids Expected to Orbit Within 24 Hours

NASA announced that it has observed two asteroids with 24 hours left to enter Earth orbit. It was stated that one of these asteroids was 220 meters long.

NASA officials said that massive asteroids will soon approach Earth.

These huge asteroids, named 2016 CZ31 and 2013 CU83, are stated to be between 140 and 320 meters in diameter. For comparison, we can say that it is bigger than a skyscraper with more than 80 floors.

Two massive asteroids are approaching Earth at 15.6 and 5.9 kilometers per second, respectively.

In fact, these asteroids aren't the only large meteorites to enter Earth orbit recently. Another 150-metre-diameter asteroid, which has made a dangerous 20-year journey from Jupiter, was detected on Sunday, July 17, as it approached earth orbit.

It is stated that many small asteroids will approach our orbit in the coming weeks.

NASA constantly observes asteroids and conducts risk analyzes. So there is no need to panic. If a dangerous situation arises, there is even a plan ready for it.

Asteroids approaching Earth are fairly common and generally pose no threat to life.
