Investigation of Amazon by UK

The British Competition Authority (CMA) announced that it has started an investigation into online sales platform Amazon for offering customers options that do not comply with competition regulations.

According to a announcement from the British Competition Authority (CMA), the company is under investigation due to concerns that Amazon is operating in violation of competition regulations by offering the most disadvantageous options to its customers in the UK.

In the announcement, it was stated that Amazon included the sale of products of third companies on the same platform, as well as its own retail products, and it was noted that the company placed its own products on the online sales platform as if they were "more priority and advantageous".

In the announcement, it was stated that the investigation was initiated to determine whether Amazon has a dominant place in the UK market and to investigate whether the company is using its current position in an "unfair" and "overwhelming" way.

More information can be found on the investigation into Amazon’s Marketplace case page.
