Assassin's Creed: Mirage - Fans wanted, Ubisoft listened

So many fans wants old Assassin's Creed games based on story unlike Ubisofts recent RPG games. Now Ubisoft going back to the series' roots with a focus on stealth.

The Assassin's Creed franchise from Ubisoft is still going strong, and the upcoming installment, Assassin's Creed Mirage, will shortly join it. But rather than introducing fans to a brand-new character, gamers will take on the role of Basim, a member of the Hidden Ones who first made a crucial NPC appearance in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Instead than focusing on what happened after Valhalla, Mirage will follow Basim before he joined the organization that would eventually become the Assassin's Order.

At its Ubisoft Forward demonstration, Ubisoft officially launched Mirage, offering players more to think about before its planned release. Here is all the information you require on Assassin's Creed Mirage.

The upcoming installment in the well-known Assassin's Creed series from Ubisoft is Assassin's Creed Mirage. According to reports, Mirage will have a significantly smaller scale than the most recent games (Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla), returning to the series' beginnings with its stealth-focused gameplay.

According to rumors, Mirage began as an add-on for Assassin's Creed Valhalla before becoming a separate undertaking. This makes a lot of sense considering that Basim, a Valhalla NPC who had a significant role in Eivor's plot, is a main character.

It doesn't seem to be a component of Assassin's Creed Infinity, a future live-service game from Ubisoft that will, in the words of the developer, "grow in a more integrated and collaborative manner that's less oriented on studios and more focused on talent and leadership."

Instead, Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe and Assassin's Creed Codename Red, which aim to transport players to the Holy Roman Empire's witch trials and feudal Japan, respectively, will be found in Infinity.

ASSASSIN'S CREED MIRAGE: STORY AND SETTING

Approximately 20 years before the events of Valhalla, which took place in the late 9th century, Mirage takes place in Baghdad, at least in part. During this time, one of the Order of the Ancients' final cells becomes the Templar Order. The Assassins Brotherhood, as players have come to know them from the first game, will shortly replace the Hidden Ones.

The text "The Forty Thieves Quest" can be seen on one of the leaked Mirage images, possibly alluding to the One Thousand and One Nights story Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. Although many changes have been taken in its recounting, the narrative revolves around a humble woodworker named Ali Baba who discovers the riches of Forty Kings.

The role of Basim will be played by players during his time as a thief before he joined the Hidden Ones. With this "coming of age" tale, Ubisoft claimed it wanted players to truly feel as though the series was returning to its roots. We may also discover more about how he got to be a reincarnation of the Norse god Loki, according to certain leaks.

For those who haven't played Assassin's Creed Valhalla, you discover near the game's conclusion that Eivor, Sigurd, and Basim are each a different reincarnation of Odin, Tyr, or Loki. Basim attacks Eivor in an effort to get revenge for the incarceration of his son Fenrir by Odin, but he is stopped by a First Civ device. Layla accidentally releases Basim, who has been preserved for more than a thousand years, in the present. He makes a request to meet William Miles while holding the Staff of Hermes, which contains the consciousness of Aletheia, his beloved.

Roshan, Basim's mentor and a "key figure" who appears throughout the entirety of Mirage, will also be introduced to players during the game. As part of his training, Basim will visit Alamut, the Hidden Ones' stronghold in Northern Iran.

The tale should be understandable to all players, even those who are new to the genre, according to narrative director Sarah Beaulieu, despite its intimate ties to past games in the series.

Assassin's Creed Mirage will go on sale in 2023, according to Ubisoft. Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, and Amazon Luna will all be able to purchase Mirage for $50. A couple Assassin's Creed titles have been ported to the Nintendo Switch, but they were released considerably later than the original games.

Also, AURORA published a song especially for Assassin's Creed's 15th anniversary celebration.
