When it comes to Dubai, many of us think of; An artificial, luxurious, modern city built in the middle of the desert is coming. We are not quite right. The most interesting thing for me was the old part of Dubai and of course the desert safari. Go, see.
Let's learn a little about Dubai together.
1- Dubai is one of the 7 emirates in the United Arab Emirates. The capital is Abu Dhabi, not Dubai.
2- The official language is Arabic, but almost everyone knows and speaks English.
3- The city of the most. The biggest shopping mall (1200 stores-Dubai Mall), the tallest hotel (Burj Al Arab), the tallest building (Burj Khalifa), the biggest aquarium are located here. The world's largest gold chain with a length of 4.2 km is also located here. (Very important information)
4- The world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, also includes the highest mosque, the highest restaurant, and the highest nightclub. People living on the 80th floor and above in Burj Khalifa break their fast later in Ramadan, because they see the sun for a longer period of time.
5- Indigenous people make up only 17% of the total population. Indians occupy half of the population, followed by Pakistanis.
6- The weather is so hot in summer that even the bus stops in the city are air-conditioned.
7- Contrary to popular belief, oil accounts for only 6% of the economy.
The rest is real estate and tourism.
8- There are gold ATMs in certain parts of the city. Yes, you heard right, you are throwing the money hooop gold!
9- Emiratis receive free education, health care and housing. And almost all young people are sent to Europe for education.
10- One of the fastest developing cities in the world, while there were 13 cars in Dubai in 1968, they cannot even fit on 9-lane roads.
